Sabía que estaba interesado en la construcción, en ese momento, el objetivo del mundo de la arquitectura no se sentía justo, me sentí muy teórico. Era como si fuese su propia forma de arte, mientras que yo lo veía como extensión del diseño, diseñando cosas que hicieran trabajos y tuvieran distintas dimensiones: ambientales, materiales, artesanales, estéticas, escultóricas y olfativas.

(Londres, 1970) Diseñador por la Universidad Metropolitana de Manchester. En 1994 funda Heatherwick Studio, famoso por combinar arquitectura, diseño, ingeniería y escultura en una sola práctica. Heatherwick ha sido nombrado Doctor Honoris Causa por cuatro universidades británicas.
